There is no compromise in quality - the highest standards of artists' pigments allow the highest level of lightfastness. Schmincke's HORADAM® binding medium is Kordofan Gum Arabic from the Sahara region, due to it differing from year to year it is tested and the best of the batch is selected to used with their pigments. They use an optimal amount of oxgall to avoid undesired coloured formations and undissolved pigment, allowing the perfect flow of colour.

The Fabriano Watercolour Studio "Torchon" paper presents a "round" grain that allows obtaining pictorial results of particular effect. The paper is made with a valuable mixture of lignin free cellulose and cotton, it is acid free to guarantee inalterability over time. Produced with 100% of E.C.F. pulp (Elemental Chlorine Free), F.S.C. certified (©1996 Forest Stewardship Council A.C.) from forests responsibly managed respectful of environmental, social and economic standards. The sizing, both internally and externally, assures optimal absorption of the colours. Ideal for watercolour, tempera, gouache, acrylic ink and drawing.

Aquafine offers brilliant, transparent, free-flowing watercolours ideal for students and hobbyists alike. All colours are traditionally manufactured in England, and stem from Daler-Rowney’s heritage as a world reference in watercolour since the 19th century when Rowney worked with Turner as his official lithographer.
