Schmincke AERO COLOR Fluid Acrylic is a low viscosity, liquid acrylic formula. It is the least viscous product in the Schmincke acrylic range. AERO COLOR can be applied by spray gun, brush, re-touching pen, or dipping brush. It is possible to use the AERO colours pure or to spray them after they have been thinned with water. AERO COLOR Fluid Acrylic dries waterproof and lightfast.AERO COLOR Professional can be used on papers and cardboards as well as non-absorbent surfaces such as film, hard plastics, canvas, and (after preliminary treatment) metal.

The major development of inks in recent years has been the increasing use of pigments and acrylic resins. The difference between the dye-based inks and the pigmented inks are a slight reduction in colour intensity, but much improved resistance to fading. FW Artists’ Ink is an acrylic-based, pigmented, water-resistant ink (on most surfaces) in a range of 38 colours, all of which have either a 3 or 4 star rating for permanence. Such a high degree of lightfastness over such a range of fully intermixable colours makes them ideal for use by artists in the production of pictures for permanent display. Equally, however, colours can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones, very similar in character to watercolour. Such washes will dry to a water-resistant film on virtually all surfaces and successive layers of colour can be laid over. FW Artists’ Inks work well through airbrushes and technical pens.

Schmincke Aero Color Liners are empty marker pens that can be filled with Schmincke Aero Color Professional Finest Acrylic Ink, which is a liquid acrylic paint, and used to draw lines of various widths on your painting. The tips are a solid felt that won’t dry out and go hard as long as the lid is replaced. So you can draw with real paint! The markers come in six different sizes of tips .8mm to 15mm. The different size tips each require a different size body to fit onto, so each body is a different size. The 1mm width tip comes with a regular length body (Liner No.2) or an extra short body length for fitting into a small space (Liner No.4). You can buy replacement tips if you wear yours out. The labels of the pens include a small blank block in which you can note the number of the colour you have filled it with.

PRIMAcryl Professional is a premium artist acrylic colour that offers a modern and extensive range and was extensively revised in 2025. The superior pigmentation and the fact that 2/3 of all colours are even single-pigment colours provide a brilliance that is second to none. Another advantage: there is almost no colour change between wet and dry paint. Titanium white, known for its high pigmentation, opacity and yield, remains unsurpassed among the white colours for mixtures. Highest resistance and lightfastness of 4 and 5 stars only are another feature of this professional acrylic colour. Sustainability in focus The binder used in PRIMAcryl Professional is produced in a sustainable process: It is not extracted from mineral oil, but produced almost entirely from ‘end-of-use’ plastics (e.g. old car tyres) or plant remains. Compared to the classic ‘petroleum process’, only a minimal amount of CO2 is released. At the same time, competition with food farming is avoided by not using plant-based resources grown specifically for this purpose. PRIMAcryl is microplastic-free, and bottles and jars are made from recycled plastics. 89 colours are vegan, only ivory black (PBk 9) contains animal ingredients. Environmentally friendly cadmium alternatives (e.g. ‘cadmium yellow hue’) complement the original cadmium colours. Titanium white impresses with maximum pigmentation, opacity and coverage.
